Whitby Handyman
One of the greatest pleasures while working with Call A Husband have been doing the variety of jobs required while meeting and helping customers of all ages . My attention to details come for a background as a graduate in Graphic arts, working my way through college I carried multiple jobs, working in maintenance at Whitby General Hospital, and Computer Lab coordinator at Durham college. I graduated my three year college degree in 1984 and was hired right out of college at North American Van Lines as their Graphic designer/coordinator supporting offices all across Canada. I continued working as a Graphic design for seven year in and around the Toronto area until I decided I needed a change of careers.
To accomplish this I took a job with Konica Canada training to be office machine technician, it was here a build my problem solving skills supporting technicians all across Canada with technical challenges. I completed formal technical electric and mechanical course at Konica U.S.A., I continued in the office equipment field for about eleven years just about the time office equipment and computers were blending together.
This change in the Office Equipment business lead me to my next career as Network Analyst, I completely retrained again myself again for the computer industry. I certified myself as a Microsoft Certified Professional and went on for 4 year as a Network Analyst and Computer Hardware specialist. I made the move to construction when I realized the computer industry was becoming saturated with new graduates. I decided to re-think what I really wanted out of life and decided to start a handyman company.
My name is Garry Shearer; I've been working with Call A Husband since February 2004. I have been doing small and large renovations while fielding many handyman service calls along the way. It has been my pleasure to support customers from Toronto out to Cobourg and up north as far as Halliburton.
This new business was now enabling me to work and help my local community. My wife and I started "Call A Husband" Renovations and repairs and grow the handyman business into a small renovations company. My work experiences and art background have made this new career the most rewarding experience to date. I'm able to help support customers who appreciate hard work and quality of the work we do.
We started “CALL A HUSBAND” Renovations and Repairs just over a eight years ago, and have continued to provide quality work at a high level of quality while focusing on customer service. We thrive on building great work relationships with existing and new customers and continue to provide our best work to my customers at a fair price.
I look forward to working with you on your next project.
Sincerely,
Garry H. Shearer
